Texas A&M (White) Pharaoh Quail
Contact us for availability

Texas A & M (White) Pharaoh Quail seem to be the most
popular
of our quail. They stand about 4 - 5 inches high until it comes
time
for the male to look for a mate. When that happens he will
stretch
up to between 6 - 7 inches high and let out the neatest call.
They
have a small dot of either brown or black on the top of their
heads.
Every once in awhile it will creep down to a spot on their backs or
tails.
Each has it's own distinct pattern. The males are generally
smaller
than the females. These birds were specifically bred by the Texas
A & M University for their size and their all white meat
traits.
Restaurants prefer to serve these birds because they are all white
meat.
You can have these birds inside in a normal bird cage or outside
depending
on your preference. As with all quail they do equally well raised on
wire
or in ground pens. Getting these birds is a gem in itself.
Hatching Eggs:
Hatching eggs are collected several times each day. Each egg is hand
inspected
for shape, size, color, and cracks. We ship eggs wrapped and protected
from impact often experienced during shipment. Eggs are sold per dozen.
Please contact us with your zip code for an estimate on shipping and
box
fee.
Mature Birds:
These quail average 6 to 12 weeks of age. They are not yet laying eggs
but are ready to be placed in pens indoors out outdoors. Ordering
mature
quail relieves the stress caused death you would see in day old chicks.
Mature birds are also past the pecking stage where there is a high
mortality
rate. Quail are carefully packed in chick shipping boxes with pieces of
fruit to help ensure live arrival at their destination. Please contact
us with your zip code for an estimate on shipping and box fee.
Breeding Trio's:
These trio's are proven breeders. One male with 2 female birds. Hens
will
be proven to have a high egg lay rate of fertile eggs. Please note
however
that after shipping quail it may take up to 4 weeks before the hens
start
laying again. Quail are carefully packed in chick shipping boxes with
pieces
of fruit to help ensure live arrival at their destination. Please
contact
us with your zip code for an estimate on shipping and box fee.
